Classen Boulevard Corridor, Oklahoma City

Once a long-abandoned eyesore along a key corridor, the 1962 Classen Inn has been reborn as a vibrant retro motel. The 5,000-square-foot renovation included complete interior demolition, new MEP systems, and full exterior restoration — including the iconic Googie-style signage that recalls the site’s mid-century origins.

Modus Construction collaborated with Gardner Architects to bring the project back to life with color, craftsmanship, and modern building systems, returning a sense of nostalgia and identity to this stretch of Classen Boulevard. Today, Classen Inn stands as a case study in adaptive reuse and creative neighborhood reinvestment.
