The Stables Building at the Icehouse Project is a reconstruction of the original stone stable that once housed horses for the early-1900s Edmond Ice Company. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the project was completed under strict historic tax credit standards requiring detailed preservation and documentation.

Modus Construction rebuilt the structure on a new foundation with updated framing, MEP systems, and interior amenities—while recladding the exterior with original stone. Now operating as a small community event venue, the Stables Building preserves its heritage while performing to modern standards, demonstrating Modus Construction’s craftsmanship in adaptive reuse and historic restoration.
