The Icehouse transformed the site of the former Edmond Ice Company into a vibrant, mixed-use culinary and community hub, revitalizing a half city-block historic site in downtown Edmond. Modus Construction led the comprehensive renovation and integration of multiple existing structures—including three 50-year-old pre-engineered metal buildings and two historic brick buildings—into a cohesive development centered around an urban courtyard and local food ecosystem. The project required careful restoration of the historic Creamery building and conversion of the old horse stables into an event venue, while coordinating complex tenant build-outs for American Solera brewery, Woodward Pizza, The Fried Taco, and The Creamery.
Site work included development of a large central courtyard with covered patios, edible landscaping, interactive public art, and new utility infrastructure supporting the development's sustainability focus. The result is a family-friendly destination that celebrates local businesses and sustainable practices while contributing significantly to downtown Edmond's ongoing revitalization.
